Doug & Susan Samuelson Family / Warren Livestock Company
The Warren Livestock Company epitomizes Wyoming’s Western Heritage and exemplifies a genuine love for the region’s natural beauty. Their dedication to preserving the ranch’s historical significance is demonstrated through their sincere and genuine environmental stewardship.
The Samuelson Family personifies the true essence of philanthropy and community dedication. Since 2018, their generous contributions to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Foundation have had a transformative impact on the cherished event. Through their unwavering support, Doug and Susan have helped preserve and enhance our iconic celebration, ensuring that it remains a vibrant and beloved tradition for years to come. Their commitment to investing in the cultural fabric of Cheyenne is truly commendable.
Together with their ranch employees, the Samuelsons work to keep the history and memories of the ranching community alive. The Cheyenne Frontier Days Foundation is a great vehicle to ensure the West’s legacy lives on forever and the Samuelsons are committed to helping with that effort.

Hughes Charitable Foundation
Based in Wyoming, the Hughes Charitable Foundation is centered on one abiding rule: Love Your Neighbor. Energized by love and faith, and endlessly inspired by a vibrant Wyoming, the Hughes Charitable Foundation is dedicated to supporting frontline entities that alleviate hunger, poverty, oppression, and housing insecurity, as well as those entities that lead solutions for mental health and positive futures for single mothers, children and indigenous communities.
Wayne and Molly Hughes have set a new standard for philanthropy in Wyoming with WyoGives as well as their own giving through HCF. They are behind the incredible Morning Star Indian Village on the Cheyenne Frontier Days grounds. This long-needed improvement will make such a difference for the future. Morning Star Indian Village will be a showcase place for respect and honor to tell the stories of the Plains Tribes that roamed this area of the Great Plains following the buffalo and some of the first Tribes to utilize horses in their nomadic lifestyle.
Wayne and Molly first assisted Cheyenne Frontier Days in refurbishing the Marietta Dinneen Carriage Barn that houses CFD’s entire collection of historic carriages and costumes. HCF has made a positive impact in the CFD family, and we are so pleased to call Wayne and Molly our friends and neighbors.

Buckeye Ranch
Owned and operated by the Herz Family, Buckeye Ranch—located in Albany County, and homesteaded in the 1870s—shares many a similarity with the beloved tradition of Cheyenne Frontier Days.
In both cases, the heart of the operation is equal parts Western beauty, Wyoming grit, and a desire to preserve history for future generations. And, much like Buckeye Ranch, Cheyenne Frontier Days maintains a harmonious balance between progress and preservation.
As Cheyenne Frontier Days is among the greatest expressions of community spirit in the world—and one of the greatest opportunities to preserve the heritage of the great American West—Buckeye Ranch is honored to contribute to the celebration’s ongoing success.
