How to create a new project

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, click on Projects, then click on Add New.
  2. Add your page title.
  3. Add a featured image in the right hand column. This will be the image that appears in the grid on your main “Projects” page. 
  4. Click the purple “Use the Divi Builder” button.
  5. Select “Build from Scratch” if you would like to create a page from scratch or select “Clone Existing Page” if you would like to use an existing page on your website as a base template. We recommend cloning an existing project so the layout is consistent.
  6. Use the Divi builder to add content in sections, rows, and/or modules. To use pre-created sections, rows or modules, click on the “Add from Library” tab and choose the one you would like to use. 
  7. When you’re ready to save, click on the round purple button with 3 dots on the bottom of your screen.
  8. You can choose to save your new page as a draft, or publish the page if you are ready for it to show up on your website. 
  9. Once published, go back to the WordPress dashboard.
  10. Click on Appearance > Menus.
  11. In the “Select a Menu to Edit” dropdown, select “Primary Menu.”
  12. In the “Add Menu Items” section, select the project you created and click “Add to Menu.”
  13. Click and drag the page in the “Menu Structure” section to where you want it in the menu.
  14. Click “Save Menu.”

How to edit a project

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, click on Projects, then click on the page you would like to edit.
  2. Click on the “Edit with the Divi Builder” button.
  3. Click on the module you would like to edit, and select the gear wheel to edit.
  4. Make your edits.
  5. Click on the round purple button with 3 dots on the bottom of your screen.
  6. Save your page edits with the green “save” button on the bottom right-hand side.

How to delete a project

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, click on Projects.
  2. Hover over the Project you would like to delete and hit the “trash” link. 
  3. Go back to the WordPress dashboard.
  4. Click on Appearance > Menus.
  5. In the “Select a menu to edit” dropdown, select “Primary Menu.”
  6. In the “Menu Structure” section, toggle open the project you deleted and click “Remove.”
  7. Click “Save Menu.”
